Coach Wong works and lives in the community of Salem, Oregon. As a college student at Willamette University he successfully played virtually every position in baseball for 3 years. Although he was an outstanding player offensively and defensively, he was a dominant pitcher in the conference. Today he is a prestigious member of the Willamette University Hall of Fame.
He went on to pitch major league baseball with the Kansas City Royals from 1980 - 1984. In the 1988 National Baseball Congress Semi-Pro World Series in Wichita, Kansas, he pitched four solid winning ball games and won the title of MVP. After closing a very successful career as a player, he extended his baseball credentials as a very effective coach.
He has 17 years of collegiate coaching experience with 13 years as Head Baseball Coach with Willamette University ( 1990 - 2002). Coach Wong has also coaching experience at the high school level, American Legion level, and at the semi-pro level throughout Oregon and Washington. His coaching experience began in Hawaii working with Pearl City High School and resulted in winning season programs. In Oregon, Coach Wong coached the Cookes Stationery American Legion team taking them to the world series in 1994.

Coach Wong enjoys a strong following of successful players and a solid history of winning baseball programs. His style is effective at all levels of team and player development, and his students love him.
